The film showcases the artistic styles of skiers like Alex Hall, Koga Hoshino, Antti Ollila, and many others. They travel to Japan, the US, Canada, Italy, and Switzerland, to showcase the skier’s artistic expression in a variety of environments.
The film will debut at the High Five Festival in Annecy, France on September 30th. In terms of US Film tour dates, it’ll be shown in Salt Lake City on October 8th, and Denver on October 12th, with more stops likely to be announced.
The trailer is down below, and you can purchase tickets to one of the premieres here.

Skiing is not art, and skiers are not artists. Unless, of course, skiing is art and skiers are artists? Faction’s fourth feature film exhibits pure creativity through a series of freeski sequences—from the vibrant streets of Japan, to the powdery pillows of British Columbia, to the finely-manicured terrain parks of Switzerland and Italy. Each location provides a blank canvas for the team’s artistic expression. Because nothing screams “artist” like sending large cliffs and grinding the side of buildings.
