A Margaritaville Resort Is Coming To Lake Tahoe

“We are so excited to share this iconic brand with one of the premier year-round adventure and ski destinations in the United States. With the property’s opening, we invite travelers to experience the escapism of Margaritaville in a whole new setting, whether they’re seeking an action-packed vacation or a relaxing getaway.” – Steve Contos, executive vice president of Davidson Resorts.

Jimmy Buffet is trading his blown-out flip-flops for ski boots. It was announced on Tuesday that the famous Margaritaville chain will develop their first ever ski resort location. Margaritaville will be taking over the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, which is a short walking distance from Heavenly’s gondola. Visitors may have a difficult time searching for that lost shaker of salt in the snow.

The new Margaritaville will welcome all of those tourists covered in oil in Lake Tahoe with a unique suite-only design. All 399 suites will have separate sleeping and dining spaces, plus a wet bar to make sure there is always booze in the blender. The resort will also have at least 5 different dining venues, perfect for nibbling on sponge cake or smelling the shrimp that is beginning to boil. The indoor pool will feature sliding doors to the patio to watch the sun bake. Unfortunately, there won’t be a tattoo parlor to get a real beauty of a Mexican cutie.

“From design elements that adapt the property for all four seasons to thoughtful details reflecting the destination, the refreshed resort will be firmly rooted in the Margaritaville state of mind, while giving guests an entirely fresh and elevated experience that is quintessentially Lake Tahoe.” Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe via SFGATE.

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is set to open this upcoming winter and will be ready for visitors to stay here all season. Until then, keep on rocking out to Margaritaville:
