Wild roadside encounter in Canada’s Banff National Park with what at first glance might be mistaken for a polar bear.
This beautiful animal may have a distinct similarity to its cousins in the north but its a White Grizzly named Nakoda. White Grizzlies are not albino, rather their coloring is the result of a recessive gene.
Nakoda name translates to Friend or Ally in the native language of the three indigenous tribes in the area, Wesley, Bearspaw, Chiniki. What a majestic creature.
