Palisades Tahoe just received shipment of two massive spools of haul rope that will replace the current ones that have been in use since the Funitel opened in 1998. The monster spools weigh 140,000 pounds each and required a 13-axle truck for delivery. The rope arrived in 2 separate spools but will be spliced together into a single rope. Crews from the lift manufacturer will be coming from Europe to assist with this project over the summer.
