To celebrate Snow Camp’s 20th Anniversary there is a special event to raise funds for its programme.

It is the charity’s biggest, most exciting, and most ambitious alpine event yet.

Sponsored by AJ Bell, the 3 Valley Rally takes place in Val Thorens on the 15th-18th April 2023.

Since this is its 20th anniversary, the charity is bringing together 24 teams to take on the multi-discipline challenge across the mountains, competing for the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally Cup over the course of 2 days.

“We have all been working hard to create something very special for our 20th anniversary and it is going to be wonderful to have so many supporters out in the Alps together,” said the Founder of Snow Camp, Dan Charlish.

“Events like this raise such important funds our work with young people across the country, and they are a fantastic experience for everyone involved.”

We are delighted that Snow Camp counts PlanetSKI in its stable of friends and we are in resort for the event – taking part in some of the challenges and doing what we do best – reporting on events like these.

The competition events will be split over the 2-days of the event as follows:

Day 1: Sunday 16th April

• Orienteering
• Snow Shoe Hike
• Biathlon
• Zip wire challenge

Day 2: Monday 17th April

• Team Distance Challenge
• Team Parallel Slalom Race

Snow Camp has worked hard for the past 20 years to help change young lives for the better, and even after the setbacks of the pandemic, its courses are now back at capacity and going from strength to strength.

Funds raised from the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally will provide much needed support to young people across the UK.

Snow Camp work with young people in London, the North West, the Midlands and Scotland to deliver an accredited journey of courses to vulnerable young people at indoor snow centres.

Their courses are unique and attractive to young people, taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end.

Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to life skills training and mental health support.
