Mt. Bachelor is having a great season, as they’ve accumulated 438″ of snow so far. With 132″ of snow in March, it’s set the Oregon ski resort up for a long spring. The Oregonian reports that Mt. Bachelor has extended their season through May 28th.
From now until April 23rd, Mt. Bachelor will spin their lifts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. From April 24th-30th, they’ll have 4200 skiable acres open, and run the lifts from 8:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. Starting on May 1st, they’ll run the lifts from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with 1500 skiable acres open. They will be keeping the Pine Marten, Sunrise, and Summit lifts open through May 28th (weather permitting).
The major adjustment to their spring operations is regarding the Skyliner Express. Over the summer, they’ll be replacing it with the ski resort’s first high-speed six-pack chairlift. Due to this, they’ll be closing the lift on April 30th, and most of the terrain around the Skyliner lift will be closed after that.
