Booking a ski trip is usually a pretty darn expensive endeavor. Even if a mountain’s lift tickets are dirt cheap, the housing, food, and other accommodations have the potential to break the bank. Fortunately, vacation rental company HomeToGo likes to release an often-updated list of affordable ski resorts for our vacation-planning ease.
To be clear, this list doesn’t exactly rank the cheapest ski resorts in North America. Instead, it takes HomeToGo’s top 100 searched ski destinations and creates a short list of fifty ski areas, considering only those with 44 miles or more of ski slope.
Lift pass prices are based on prices researched in November of 2022, and, when a date was required for ticket purchase, February 18, 2023, was selected. Advance purchase discounts are included. Accommodation price is based on the average cost per person to stay in a six-person HomeToGo rental found within 2 miles of the ski area for one night.
Once again, this is not the cheapest ski resorts in North America. Instead, it’s a top 10 of the cheapest, most popular ski resorts with over 44 miles of ski slope, according to HomeToGo. Without further ado, let’t get into it!
