Bit hard to see in the video but this snowmobiler was able to ride out of this avalanche triggered on South face of north peak at College Glacier, Hoodoo Mountains, Eastern Alaska Range, and was not carried by the slide. **This is an observation of recent conditions from our unforecasted zone, not a critique of the rider. Please refrain from leaving unkind comments.**
Please excuse the language as you listen for effective communication and keeping eyes on during this event. Rider and group had Avy rescue gear (beacon, shovel, probe) and radio communication.
Snowmachiner was able to ride off the slope to the left and deploy avalanche pack. Snowmachine was carried down slope by the slide.
