It seems like every ski resort in the world is making a vocal effort to become more ‘sustainable’.
Who knows what that actually means, but we can all appreciate those making an effort to reduce their impact on the environment.
CNN has created a list of 10 of the world’s most sustainable ski resorts to document the resorts taking steps in the right direction.
Check it out:
*They do not state the criteria needed to make this list. Safe to assume it’s more of a marketing opportunity for the resorts listed rather than a factual list.*
10. Val d’Isere, France
9. Zermatt, Switzerland
8. Lech-Zurs, Austria
7. Laax, Switzerland
6. Pyha, Finland
5. Jackson Hole, Wyoming
4. Big Sky, Montana
3. Courchevel, France
2. Whistler, Canada
1. Aspen, Colorado
The fact that Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Colorado didn’t make this list sent up a big red flag for me.
That place is constantly doing things to be more sustainable, and produces an excellent video series documenting it!
Like I said before, I have no idea how CNN created this list, but I found it interesting nonetheless.
*Insert your over-played jokes from the former president about CNN being ‘fake news’.
