If you live in the Northeast and are trying to ski/ride today or tomorrow, you may want to wait until Sunday. Wind chills are going to dip well below zero degrees throughout the Northeast in the next day, potentially reaching lower than -100 degrees on Mt. Washington. Because of this, many ski areas/resorts have decided to throw in the towel for the next day or two to protect guests and their employees.
Here’s a list of the mountains that are closed today (and tomorrow if it’s in parenthesis) due to the blistering cold. This list will continue to be updated as further closures are reported.
