In Italy more slopes open in the Cervinia ski area with Valtournoche opening for business.
Many other resorts that are already open are firing up more lifts and offering more runs open.
Engleberg in Switzerland is one.
Conditions are not perfect for the beginning of December, but they are better than many hoped for a couple of weeks ago.
At altitude things are now looking quite respectable.
PlanetSKI is currently in Soelden in the Tirol in Austria enjoying some great conditions.
Here’s our editor, James Cove, who seems pleased to have his skis on again.
James will be filing a full and up-to-date video snow report for the slopes of Obergurgl in the Tirol in Austria later on Thursday.
