Last week, Pacific Group Resorts, Inc. completed the acquisition of Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. This followed a pretty wild auctioning process for Jay Peak, which Pacific Group Resorts ended up winning with a bid of $76 million.

Passholders of other Pacific Group Resort properties were wondering if will be getting free access to Jay Pea kthis winter. Yesterday, the various ski resorts that are part of PGRI announced the benefits to Jay. Since they’re now partner resorts, they’re teaming up with some reciprocal benefits. In simpler terms: It’s a crossover episode.

Powderhorn in Colorado, Ragged Mountain in New Hampshire, Wintergreen Resort in Virginia, and Wisp Resort in Maryland announced that their passholders will be getting four free days at Jay,  50% off additional day tickets for additional trips, 25% off day tickets at Jay for guests of pass holders, and 15% off lodging and waterpark packages. Blackout dates apply to the lift tickets, which include December 26-31, 2022, January 14-15, 2023, and February 18-20, 2023.

Mt. Washington Alpine Resort in British Columbia and Wintergreen Club members will get seven free days, 50% off additional day tickets for further trips, 25% off day tickets at Jay for guests of pass holders, and 15% off lodging and waterpark packages. Jay Peak passholders get unlimited free access to all of the mountains listed above.

Out of all these mountains, the biggest winner is Ragged Mountain, as they are the closest partner to Jay Peak. The two ski resorts are within two hours and thirty-four minutes of each other. While I can see Wintergreen and Wisp Resort pass holders making vacations to Jay Peak, I think this ultimately benefits Ragged regulars the most. This new deal makes the various Mission Affordable Season Passes an excellent deal for skiers and riders, as it gives you access to multiple great mountains.
