Red Lodge Mountain in Montana has just seen its first snow of the season. The Montana ski resort released a video and photos of the first snowfall on Tuesday, as it looks like the mountain got a couple inches of snow. It’s not enough to push its projected opening day from November 25th, but it does look possible to shred if you bring your rock skis and hike up.

Over the offseason, Red Lodge has been working on the replacement of the Miami Beach chairlift with a high-speed triple chairlift, which they are receiving from Alta Ski Area. It’s a two-year replacement project, so the initial work was done this offseason, with the removal of the Miami Chairlift happening next offseason. The new chairlift will open during the 2023-24 season.
