Approaching an elk at anytime of the year is a bad idea, but especially during the fall when they’re in rut. That seems like it should be common knowledge at this point, but we keep seeing new videos everyday of idiots approaching elk in the wild.
The video below shows a group of four men walking within feet of a large elk herd in Estes Park, CO.
Nothing violent happens, thankfully, but it’s pretty clear that these guys have no idea how much danger they’re putting themselves in until the big bull elk rears its antlers towards them.
PRO TIP: Don’t be these guys.
