Jay Peak Resort in Vermont has been one of the hottest ski industry topics over the past couple of months. Following the approved $76 million sale of Jay Peak to Pacific Group Resorts, Inc., NBC 5 interviewed Steve Wright, the President and General Manager of the ski resort.
Steve Wright discussed the final parts of the transaction that need to be completed, what is included in the sale, how PGRI ended up purchasing the mountain rather than Alterra or Vail Resorts, its future with the Indy Pass, the relaxation of Canadian Covid-19 restrictions, and where he sees the ski resort in a couple of years.
