Oblivious Hikers Walk Within Yards Of Wolf Pack In Yellowstone

If there’s one thing you should take from this video, it’s that wolves aren’t always the vicious predators that Hollywood has made them out to be.

Now, I’m not saying that anybody should intentionally approach a wild wolf. I’m just saying that two oblivious guys taking a stroll can walk within feet of a wild wolf pack and live to tell the tale. As shown in the video below.

I wonder if these guys have seen the footage now? I’d be crapping my pants in hindsight knowing I accidentally got that close to a wolf pack…!

“What happens when two hikers unknowingly walk into an area where a pack of wolves is sleeping???

Absolutely nothing. Contrary to what some people want you to believe, wolves aren’t normally going to attack you. In most cases they will run away from you if you encounter them in the back country. This video is a perfect example of that. Once the hikers got too close, the wolves stood up and went the other way.

I think the best part of this entire encounter was when the hikers walked back around the trail and I asked them if they had seen any animals and they both said no they hadn’t seen anything and I said are you sure about that and they both kind of laughed and said well yeah, we’re sure why, and then I showed them the video and they could not believe what was right there in front of them.

You should always be aware of your surroundings when hiking. Look in the tree’s and pay attention because you never know what magic might be waiting!!!”
