Solitude Adding Gravity Flow Mountain Biking Trails Next Summer

In light of Soltidue’s recent town hall, which unveiled their future plans, the Utah ski resort is hard at work transforming its summer operations. In their latest blog post, Amber Broadaway, the President and COO of the ski resort, detailed how the summer is going so far.

The major project of next offseason will be the expansion of their mountain biking trails. Gravity Logic has been visiting Solitude this summer to flag and plan out the future trail network. The four new trails will expand their mountain biking trail network by 50% and will add 8-9 miles of biking terrain. These trails will be serviced by the Moonbeam lift, with work on the trails beginning next Spring, and the trails opening up in the middle of next summer. They are also currently working on a beginner uphill and downhill mountain biking trail around Easy Street, with the goal of having that ready in the near future. The Moonbeam base area now also features a pump track and skills center.

This summer is also seeing the addition of an adventure park. A bungee trampoline has been added and opened, and a climbing wall has been added as well. A new walking trail between the Moonbeam base area and the Village, along with beginner mountain biking trails on Easy Street, has been recently approved by the U.S. Forest Service. Both projects have broken ground, as Solitude continues what will be a busy next couple of offseasons for them.
