So far this summer, Grand Targhee has given a couple of updates on the project. On June 3rd, they showed that the parts to the lift had arrived. Yesterday, they showed the progress on the foundation of the top terminal. Unfortunately, the gain of this new lift means the closure of their cat skiing operations, which have been a part of Grand Targhee’s culture since 1989. The Colter lift is expected to open during the 2022-23 season.
It all starts with the foundation.
Construction on the Colter Lift continues with the pouring of the foundation for the top terminal. While summer is in full swing, we can’t stop thinking about the new terrain set to open on Peaked Mountain this winter. #colterlift pic.twitter.com/lvGTxAm8H5
