Encountering black bears in Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, TN is not an uncommon occurrence. Officials estimate over 1,500 bears live in the park alone.
The video below shows tourists flying over a family of black bears on the Gatlinburg Sky Lift. The lift takes guests from the heart of Gatlinburg, TN to the top of Crockett Mountain where The Gatlinburg Skybridge is located.
“Occurred on May 26, 2022 / Gatlinburg, Tennessee, USA This video was shot on the Gatlinburg skylift park lift in Gatlinburg Tennessee (US) while we were visiting. We were coming down the lift and this adorable family of bear cubs and mother crossed under the lift! The bear cubs were very young perhaps only a month old!”
