Ever wonder how ski resorts are able to operate chairlifts after a particularly wet and/or icy storm?
The video below shows lift mechanics shimmying out to de-ice the haul rope of the Summit Lift at Mt. Bachelor, and it’s one of the most badass things I’ve seen in a while. These guys and gals are awesome.
Thanks to all of you lift mechanics that keep us ungrateful skiers and riders enjoying the slopes in even the harshest winter weather.
