Scott Gaffney, arguably one of the most influential names in the history of skiing, shared an update on his health after a scary fall on the infamous Eagle’s Nest (AKA McConkey’s) line at Palisades Tahoe.
Gaffney posted multiple angles of the fall, and some images showing his injuries. He ultimately suffered a broken scapula, a collapsed lung requiring a chest tube, and numerous gnarly bruises.

He’s extremely lucky that he didn’t sustain worse injuries, and thank god he did the responsible thing by going to the hospital.
