Denali National Park & Preserve is one of the most stunning national parks in the United States. Compared to other national parks though, it’s one of the most challenging to access by car. You can travel the first fifteen miles by car, but you need to ride a transit bus for the remainder of the Park Road. This video from National Park Diaries explains why you can’t access most of the Park Road with your car or truck. Some of the reasons include that much of the land is federally designated wilderness and preserves, the abundance of wildlife, the lack of typical national park amenities, etc. The video fully explaining Denali’s uniqueness is below.
