Indy Pass partner Red Lodge Mountain in Montana will be purchasing the Sunnyside chairlift from Alta Ski Area, and installing it for the 2023-24 season. The ski area announced on Sunday that they’ll be replacing their Miami Beach double chairlift with a high-speed triple chairlift. The replacement isn’t actually new, as it actually comes from Alta. The Sunnyside Triple is a high-speed lift that will be replaced by a six-pack this summer. During this offseason, the ski area will pick up Alta’s lift from Utah, add a carpet conveyor lift to the upper portion of Miami Beach, and move their yurt that’s currently situated at the base area. The installation of the lift will occur during the summer of 2023. The Miami Beach chairlift was installed in 1973, and services beginner and intermediate terrain, along with a terrain park.
