We reported last week about a Japanese ski resort that couldn’t run a chairlift because there was too much snow. You can check out that original post here.
Turns out that chairlifts are still buried, and Myoko Snowsports has shared even more photos of the resort’s efforts to dig out their lifts buried in snow. The region has seen more than 700″ of snowfall this season. WOW!
The pictures are unbelievable! Check ’em out.
Myoko Snowsports reported back in February that some areas had base depths as deep as 222″. Check out those full details in the Instagram post below.
To say that this has been a quintessential ‘JaPOW’ season for the Myoko Kogen region would be an understatement.
Such a shame that we can’t get there right now. I NEED to figure out a trip to Japan for next season. Who’s with me?
